Dust off your helmets and polish up your scooters! Alameda Scooters is happy to announce the first meeting of the Alameda Scooter Club. You'll want to join us for this one at the New Zealander in Alameda.
The Alameda Scooter Club will be hosting weekly Sunday rides around the bay area. These rides are easy rides and anyone on a scooter or motorcycle can join.
Please join us for refreshments and scooter chat at the New Zealander Restaurant and Pub on the corner of Webster and Central Avenues in Alameda on Sunday, December 20 from 1 – 3pm. The first 50 people to show up with a copy of this letter will receive a free pint of beer, courtesy of Alameda Scooters. Our first ride will be held later that Sunday evening. Join us for a special short night ride on our “Holiday Lights Ride” through Alameda to the famous “Holiday Lights” neighborhood of Thompson Street, where the entire street puts up elaborate holiday decorations and tons of light displays. The ride begins at the New Zealander at 5:30pm-ish and finishes at the corner of Park and Central for hot cocoa at Starbucks. Peet’s drinkers can grab their refreshments at Peet’s and join us at Starbucks. Rain cancels the ride.
If your bike’s been in storage, or hasn’t been turned on in a couple of weeks, there’s a good chance that it’s in need of a “winterization.” This service is designed specifically to help keep your bike in top riding condition throughout the winter.
